My bikini competition experience

Beachbody Classic 2022 St. Louis, Missouri

Beachbody Classic 2022

Let me start with the W’s.. What is the Beachbody Classic? I work for a company called Beachbody if you are unfamiliar with it.. they provide workouts, meal plans and supplements to people and I am the coach who provides support! Go team! Every year (besides covid) they have an annual conference called Summit. During summit there are business building activities with keynote speakers, trainings, parties and so much more! One of the things I was lucky enough to participate in this year was a physique competition called the Beachbody Classic aka a bikini competition! I recently lost 50 pound from working out and following Beachbody’s portion control program. In May I decided to go back to being “all in” with my business which means I wanted to focus on helping others again instead of just my own personal journey. I bought my ticket to Summit, registered for the Classic and started prepping!

Next W! Who can participate? Any Beachbody coach or preferred customer can participate in the competition. W- Where? We were in St. Louis Missouri for 5 days and the Classic extended 2 days. W- Why? Beachbody offers the Classic as a way for coaches to show off the hard work they have gotten from programs! Everybody gets to walk across stage and it is so rewarding after all of the hard work you put in!

So.. What did it take?

I will be honest, my posing practice all came from YouTube videos. I bought a bikini from Amazon for “cheap” ($60) compared to other competition suits .. and my heels also came from Amazon ($50). I chose to not skip the tan though, and went with the spray tan girl (who was amazing!) but did my own hair and makeup for pre-judging and finals. It took a lot of practice, every day, but it definitely paid off! I walked into pre-judging feeling super confident! I didn’t end up placing, but I walked across the stage knowing that I did my best!

All in all.. this has lit a fire in me to compete and I am very excited for the future!
